Sittong is a village in the Riyang river valley. Mangpu is 8 km and Mahananda Wildlife Sanctuary is 20 km and Darjeeling is 43 kms from Sittong. People prefer to stay here rather than in Darjeeling due to the tranquil nature and proximity to orange gardens.

Our Sittong homestay is 3 floored modern resort type accommodation which is undoubtedly the best among the homestays in Sittong. Our homestay have 16 rooms making it one of the biggest homestay in Sittong. All our rooms have attached modern western type toilets with geysers for running hot and cold water. 

Our hotel in Sittong accommodates maximum 40person in total. The power of our homestay is provided by the grid and mostly reliable and in case of any power outage we have generator backup for your convenience.We have a lounging and dining area on the 1st floor with a magnificent view of the rolling hills and valleys. In the evening you can enjoy a group gathering around a campfire where chicken Bar B Q can also be arranged on request on ground floor open front space of our homestay.

By Road:

The most common way to reach Sittong is by road. You can either hire a private vehicle or use public transportation:

 
From Siliguri: Sittong is approximately 60 kilometers (37 miles) from Siliguri. You can hire a taxi or take a bus from Siliguri to Sittong. The journey takes around 2-3 hours, depending on road conditions.

 
By Road there are three routes to reach Sittong Homestays From Siliguri

 
Route-1 : From Mongpoo bazaar (55 km from Siliguri) take left turn towards ( 7 Km ) Sittong the orange village and reach our homestay in Sittong. 

Route-2 : NH 31A after crossing Sevoke on the way to Gangtok, Sikkim , from Kalijhora (5 km from Sevoke Coronation Bridge) take left turn by another 13 km inside ‘Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary you will reach Latpanchar next 30 minutes drive will reach Sittong the orange village.

Route-3 : Hill Cart Road crossing Kurseong (55 km from Siliguri) take right turn via Dilharam, Bagora you will reach ‘Ghaleytar’ (total 75 km ) down 20 minutes you will reach our homestay in Sittong the orange village. 

From Darjeeling: Sittong is around 35 kilometers (22 miles) from Darjeeling. You can hire a taxi or take a shared jeep from Darjeeling to Sittong. The journey takes around 1.5-2 hours.

From Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP): If you're arriving by air or train, you can hire a taxi or take a bus from Bagdogra Airport or NJP to reach Sittong. The journey takes around 3-4 hours.

 
By Rail:

While there's no railway station in Sittong itself, the nearest major railway station is New Jalpaiguri (NJP). From NJP, you can follow the road route mentioned above to reach Sittong.

Trek To Namthing Lake- Take a guided Sittong Trek through the tea gardens and orange orchards of the mountain countryside to reach the Namthing Lake 5 kms.
